A recent commission was this lovely new beach house by the sea on the south coast of England. I was asked to look at the interior finishes and colours working closely with the clients as this was to be a much needed bolt hole for them and their two sons from hectic week day life.
Two houses were built, the owners keeping one for themselves and selling the other. The result is a fresh open plan space. The gentle sound of the sea can be seen and heard from almost every room making one instantly feel rested and away from it all. The architectural style is a nod to east coast American with clapboard cladding on the exterior and painted walls and floors throughout the interior. Furniture, fittings, fabrics and accessories were all chosen to compliment the scheme.
